Sophunny

1. Soph and I were eating strawberries in front of the telly.
We each had our own bowls.
I finished first of course.

She stood in front of me, and put her strawberry in my bowl.
hubby and I 'awwww'ed, smiling so wide. so happy our daughter is getting to be very generous and is showing signs that she loves me.

then..
she took my bowl with the strawberry in it and gave me her bowl in exchange.

LOL! so funny la Soph!!

2. I was trying to capture her reciting the alphabets on video. it was my ump-teenth attempt already. she can say A-Z* since at least 2 months ago but it's near impossible to get her full A-Z on video. when i don't have my camera/ipad near me, she'd repeat the full A-Z like 5 times in one sitting -_-

The camera was recording when suddenly she paused, then came charging at me. it reminded me of the movie paranormal activity somehow. she grabbed the camera right away. and tried to take a photo by pressing the shutter button. of course she only stopped the video by doing that.

video

I showed her the video and she cracked up watching herself charge at the camera like that.
she even imitated herself as if she was angry when she was coming at me. she made a low sound with her voice, frowning and beating her fists in the air.
then, as usual, she chuckled. only my hubby and I know how adorable we thought she looked imitating herself. she's hilarious. I can't describe it well enough.

hubby said she takes after me, that trait. the chuckling after every single thing.
so now when she does it, I wince. haha!**
coz I'm starting to notice how often I do it.
see I even do it virtually**

*Sophia's A-Z:
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L-lelelo-P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, lalalala, X, Y et Z
(self-reminder: add the video)
the correct ones she pronounces almost all the proper way but some still pelat.
the distinct ones she hasn't quite got them right yet are M, N, O and W.
her W sounded only 3-syllables before, which sounded like 'lalalu' but now she says 'lalalala', 4-syllables now ;)
and i wrote 'et' instead of 'and' because you can't hear her pronounce 'N', it sounds like 'et'='and' in French instead.

3. whenever her Abah dozes off, whenever she sees his eyes closed, she'd go "Abah! Ay-kap!".
she'll ask him to wake up. then he'd open his eyes and she'd laugh. REPEAT :D

4. Soph now looks for me when i'm not within eyesight. if she's with her Abah and she can't see me, 90% she'd go looking for me. "Mama!!??", while looking for me in the kitchen or the next room. if her Abah says i'm having a shower, she'd want to go look for me upstairs. if she's with her Nanny at home, I'm not so sure. I suspect all this while she doesn't look for me much. But my mom told me yesterday that Soph had cried looking for me. I think she's begun to wonder where I am when she doesn't see me at home during the day. I'm usually gone by the time she wakes up wkday mornings

5. Hubby and I wanted to (and are still trying to) capture Soph's reaction when we get home from work coz her face literally lights up. her eyes would go wide, her eyebrows raised to their limits and the corners of her mouth would turn up gradually but quickly. the first time we tried, my twin sis arrived at the same time
so all 3 of us went into the house at the same time, with my hubby recording using his phone.
as I usually would, I called her name, waited for her to spot me, and opened my arms wide and kneeled (sometimes squat) on the floor, waiting for her to run into my arms.
she stood up from her sofa she was lying on, and came running to us.

she ran PAST me. past my open arms.
hahahah
straight into my sister's arms.
and looking at the video later, I could see that she was aware she was being cheeky!
